What Will Your Results Tell You?

A breakdown of your thyroid hormone levels and actionable follow up steps

The thyroid gland is small, but it plays a large role in your overall health. It produces hormones that power your body with energy by controlling your metabolism. Without the right balance of thyroid hormones, your metabolism, and your health, can suffer. True Marker’s at-home thyroid test offers a convenient method for tracking these important hormones.

Too much of the hormone (hyperthyroidism), and you may feel tired and anxious from burning through the body’s energy too quickly. On the other hand, if you don’t have enough hormones (hypothyroidism), your metabolism slows down and you can be sluggish or more likely to gain weight.

It can be difficult to schedule a thyroid blood test at a doctor’s office because you have to fast beforehand, but our at-home thyroid self-test offers a convenient alternative, without the need for any appointments. When you use our at-home thyroid blood test, you’ll get quick results, including a full PDF report that you and your doctor can use to develop a treatment plan. True Marker also gives you treatment recommendations, if needed.

Your thyroid hormone levels are important for your general well-being. Here's why it should matter to you:

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

Thyroid Stimulating Hormones or TSH or thyrotropin, are produced by the brain in the anterior pituitary gland. TSH helps regulate thyroid function through the production of thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4 which help control your metabolic rate and how your body uses energy.

Free Triiodothyronine (Free T3)

Free T3 is produced by the thyroid gland to help regulate metabolism and it is more biologically active than T4. Free T3 is produced by the thyroid gland itself and it is also formed from the conversion of T4 to T3.

Free Thyroxine (Free T4)

Free T4 is the biologically active form of thyroxine, which is produced by the thyroid gland to regulate metabolism. Free T4 is unbound and can be used by the body. Elevated T4 levels can be indicative of hyperthyroidism while low T4 levels can be indicative of hypothyroidism.

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies or TPO antibodies may suppress thyroid function and can also be indicative of an autoimmune disease. A condition that presents with elevated TPO antibodies is known as Hashimoto’s disease, the most common type of hypothyroidism.
